Information and actions for G4S Secure Solutions (USA) employees regarding COVID-19

As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, I want to make sure that we are communicating with you on a regular basis, providing consistent updates and resources that may be of value to you. Today I would like to provide an update on the impact to our customers and share some resources that may be helpful to you during this situation. 

Customer Impact: 
Like many Americans, our customers are feeling the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic as it continues to spread in the United States. Our teams are making the necessary adjustments to accommodate the changes that come as a result of the spread to ensure we meet the needs of our clients. 

We are working hand-in-hand with our customers as they either increase the number of officer hours on-site or decrease. Across the region, we are seeing more increases in hours than decreases. Our management team is working to rebalance the staff as needed to minimize the impact to our customers, and most importantly to our employees. We understand that the COVID-19 outbreak has raised concerns in many industries about continued employment. Our teams are working tirelessly to ensure that our employees don’t face these fears and are able to continue to work, delivering exceptional coverage to our customers throughout the country.

Reporting COVID-19:
As always, your health and safety is our priority. At this time, we have had three confirmed cases of COVID-19 and are awaiting the results of a fourth test. If you are feeling unwell or have concerns you may have been exposed to COVID-19, please seek medical attention and do not return to work until you are medically cleared. 

Please remember, if you have recently traveled to China, Italy, Iran, Japan, South Korea or have been on a cruise, you must immediately inform G4S via email: An HR representative will contact you to discuss your potential exposure, and will keep your information confidential. Doctor on Demand
Many of us are being asked to stay home as much as possible, and lines at our doctor’s offices grow longer, we want you to be aware of Doctor on Demand (DOD), which is available to all G4S employees. DOD is free to employees and any dependent enrolled in a G4S Blue Cross plan. For those not enrolled, DOD is available on a cost-per-consultation basis, starting at $75 for a general medical consultation.

Working Remotely and Staying Informed
For many employees who are used to going into a G4S office every day, working from home can be a difficult transition. To help with this, the G4S training team has put together a training module designed to help you stay engaged while working remotely. The training can be accessed through the button below.
